Golden Turmeric Latte
Gently spiced turmeric milk on an oat base. India got here generations before the wellness industry did.
DrinksCosy10 minutes
Turmeric milk (haldi doodh) has been a home remedy across India for generations. With creamy oat or soy milk it becomes a bedtime classic that plant milk was frankly born for.
Made with plants
Method
Warm the milk
Gently heat the plant milk in a small saucepan over medium-low — don't boil it.
Whisk in the gold
Whisk in turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, maple syrup, pepper and cardamom. The pepper isn't optional-optional: it helps your body absorb the curcumin.
Froth
Whisk vigorously (or use a milk frother) for 30 seconds until lightly foamy.
Pour and dust
Pour into two mugs, dust with cinnamon, hold with both hands, exhale.
Little tips ♡
- Oat milk froths best; soy is creamiest.
- Simmer 5 extra minutes with a cinnamon stick for deeper flavour.
- Iced version: chill, then pour over ice.
